After quite a few requests from my readers to cover the side effects and possible risks associated with drinking goji juice (also known as wolfberry juice), I have finally finished my research. What I am about to tell you can be hard to believe for some, but it’s true: drinking goji juice has no negative side effects whatsoever! That’s right, there are none. Since its growth in popularity, goji juice has gone under extensive research and many studies, and the results are all reported to be completely positive. When you see your doctor, they will more than likely find a solution for your problem, and that solution usually comes in the form of a pill, right? All chemotherapy comes with potential side effects, be they little or large, they will have some. Do we care? Probably not enough! Some of the side effects can lead to problems worse than the one we are trying to alleviate in the first place, but as long as we get better, we will undergo chemotherapy with no questions asked.
Now, I am not comparing goji juice to prescribed drugs in any way, I am just trying to emphasize the point that side effects of goji juice have still not been found in scientific studies. Only good things have been said about the super fruit, and although it’s not made to cure illness, it can work towards preventing it.
So, if goji juice’s side effects have nothing to do with chemotherapy, then why the long intro? Well, as I was saying previously, almost all types of ailments and treatments will come with side effects, and some, including diarrhea, nausea and cramps, are present in most, but because the goji fruit is completely natural and powerful at the same time, it can actually help counter the side effects of many of the treatments available. It me seem hard to believe but it’s true!
One of the biggest side effects of chemotherapy is the decrease in the body’s ability to produce white blood cells. White blood cells are responsible for fighting disease, and keeping our body from losing the battle to bacteria and fungus, if white blood cell count drops too low, we could be at risk of developing a life threatening illness. Consuming goji juice has been shown to naturally increase our levels of white blood cells, ultimately countering the effects of the chemotherapy.
Another side effect of pills which goji juice can help prevent is fatigue. A chemotherapy cycle can leave people feeling fatigued and drained, but thanks to goji juice’s natural energy boosting chemicals, drinking just a small amount every day could leave you feeling a lot more energetic.
Now, back to goji juice side effects! Although I said there are none, I must point out that there is one “side effect:” too much! They say everything is good for you in moderation, and goji juice is no exception. Remember the benefits, but don’t go over the top!
